Note that the series starts with Dying in Your Sins Sunday, January 8, 2012, which is number two of the sermons in stead of number 1. After this you can follow in the order of the dates.
Unfortunately I have not found any more Bible studies of the book of Revelation with Dr. Randall Smith that follow the previous three videos in previous posts.
When looking for teachings from the Bible I find it hard sometimes to find teaching that is
trustworthy and true to the Word of God but in my view and as far as I can discern pastor Colin Smith and Dr Randall Smith both have credibility.
The book of Revelation is a "difficult" book; if you are looking for the exact interpretation of what is going to happen; when and how it happens; and who exactly is the big actor (with name and address) in the drama. So much teaching has focused on "the end times " and who is the "antichrist" and less on the fact that through it all God is in control and the focus should be on the Lamb of God who " purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation." He wins!
Death is also a difficult subject, and one that is avoided until suddenly you realize that years has gone by and death is a very close reality that brings forth the important question: "Where will I spend eternity?”
When I took a good look at myself and asked that question; God in his infinite goodness directed me to the letter to the Ephesians and the words "in Christ". Doubt gets its answer "in Christ". And in Christ I have entered into God´s rest. After so may years I finally one day understood the words "God´s rest" in a different and clear way.
Hebrew 4 says:
"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[f] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
