The end of 2010 - The beginning of 2011

Ring Out, Wild Bells:

Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,/ The flying cloud, the frosty light;/ The year is dying in the night;/ Ring out, wild bells, and let him die.

Ring out the old, ring in the new;/ Ring, happy bells, across the snow:/ The year is going, let him go;/ Ring out the false, ring in the true.

Ring out the grief that saps the mind,/ For those that here we see no more,/ Ring out the feud of rich and poor,/ Ring in redress to all mankind.

Ring out a slowly dying cause,/ And ancient forms of party strife;/ Ring in the nobler modes of life;/ With sweeter manners, purer laws.

Ring out the want, the care the sin,/ The faithless coldness of the times;/ Ring out, ring out my mournful rhymes,/ But ring the fuller minstrel in.

Ring out false pride in place and blood,/ The civic slander and the spite;/ Ring in the love of truth and right,/ Ring in the common love of good.

Ring out old shapes of foul disease,/ Ring out the narrowing lust of gold;/ Ring out the thousand wars of old,/ Ring in the thousand years of peace.

Ring in the valiant man and free,/ The larger heart, the kindlier hand;/ Ring out the darkness of the land,/ Ring in the Christ that is to be.

Blott en dag - Just one day - Vigdis Wisur and Sarpsborg Gospel Choir

Swedish hymn, text: Lina Sandell, music: Oscar Ahnfelt.

1. Day by day, and with each passing moment,
Strength I find, to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment,
I've no cause for worry or for fear.
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.

2. Ev'ry day the Lord Himself is near me
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear, and cheer me,
He whose Name is Counselor and Pow'r;
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
"As your days, your strength shall be in measure,"
This the pledge to me He made.

3. Help me then in every tribulation
So to trust Your promises, O Lord,
That I lose not faith's sweet consolation
Offered me within Your holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
E'er to take, as from a father's hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till I reach the promised land.

Santa Lucia Sweden

From Wikipedia

In Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland, Lucia is venerated on December 13 in a ceremony where a girl is elected to portray Lucia. Wearing a white gown with a red sash and a crown of candles on her head, she walks at the head of a procession of women, each holding a candle. The candles symbolize the fire that refused to take St. Lucia's life when she was sentenced to be burned. The women sing a Lucia song while entering the room, to the melody of the traditional Neapolitan song Santa Lucia; the Italian lyrics describe the view from Santa Lucia in Naples, the various Scandinavian lyrics are fashioned for the occasion, describing the light with which Lucia overcomes the darkness. Each Scandinavian country has lyrics in their native tongues. After finishing this song, the procession sings Christmas carols or more songs about Lucia. A similar version occurs in Scandinavian communities and churches in the United States.

Hanukkah 2010

This information is taken from the website MY Jewish Learning

Hanukkah 2010

Everything you need to know to celebrate the Festival of Lights.

Hanukkah begins at sunset on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Its celebration continues on Thursday, December 2, 2010, and finishes at nightfall on Thursday, December 9, 2010.

What Is Hanukkah?

Hanukkah (sometimes spelled "Chanukah") is known as the Festival of Lights, a Jewish holiday that commemorates Israel's freedom from the oppressive Syrian-Greek rule and the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.

What Do We Do on Hanukkah?

Most Hanukkah traditions take place at home. Each night we light a special lamp called called a menorah or hanukkiah, we play dreidel, and we sing songs. In recent times, under the influence of Christmas, Hanukkah has also become a popular gift-giving holiday.

• Watch Todd learn how to light the Hanukkah candles--from the smartest teacher ever--in MJL's animated cartoon, The Adventures of Todd & God.
• Listen to and download free mp3s of popular Hanukkah songs.

What Foods Are Traditionally Eaten on Hanukkah?latkes

It is customary to eat deep-fried foods to commemorate the miracle of Hanukkah, in which a cruse of oil lasted for eight days instead of one. Some of these foods include:

Latkes
Jelly donuts
Fried torzelli
Spiced hot chocolate
Bimuelos

Granny's weather

Dear friend,
This is how it looks like in my part of the world. It's "granny's weather"= snowstorm.
When I was a child an uncle told about my grandmother and how eccentric she was.

He lived next door to her and in the winter he used to give her a ride with horse and sled wherever she wanted to go. On a sunny day, when he offered her to go to her sister, as she had asked for, she said she couldn't go that day. But the next day when the snow was tumbling down and the roads had decimeter-thick cover of snow she decided she wanted to go after all. He had promised and so he grumpily took out the horse and sled and they made the trip and she enjoyed the ride all the way. It didn't happen just once but it became a habit and so whenever it is a snow storm I think of "granny" and her habit to "challenge the storm". I don't think she was reckless or a lady with poor judgment; but she trusted my uncle to know if it was safe to be out in the storm.

Later in life, I have realized that she had to face other storms in her life that was far more difficult than a snowstorm, but I also understand that she had faith in God and she trusted in him and that he would take her through.

It isn't easy to be calm and firm when life isn't fair and everything is tumbling down around you. It is easy to talk a lot about trust in God; but it is far more difficult to live with trust in God whatever happens. But try to remember who is holding the reins. My granny came to her destination because my uncle controlled the horse and knew the way; and you can trust God to know what he is doing and he will get you out of the storm. And that is not just words but a fact.
Sincerely Yours
Ida

HOPE

"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord.
They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a HOPE.
In those days when you pray, I will listen.

If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me."
Jeremiah 29:11-13

Be careful for Nothing

But in everything by prayer and supplication

With thanksgiving

Let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God

Which passeth all understanding,

Shall keep your hearts and minds through

Perfectly Weak by Francis Frangipane

According to the Scriptures, Moses was "educated in all the learning of the Egyptians." Indeed, as a prince in Egypt, Moses had grown to be a "man of power in words and deeds" (Acts 7:22). Thus, it is hard to equate this eloquent and cultured man with the stammering shepherd who, at 80 years old, was overwhelmed with his inadequacies, so much so that he pleaded with God to choose someone else.
Consider: The Lord took a self-assured world leader and reduced his opinion of himself until he possessed no confidence. And it was in this state of mind that God decided to use him. Having been thoroughly convinced of his unfitness for leadership, Moses was now qualified to lead.
Remarkably, the Lord would ultimately reveal Himself to Moses (and all Israel as well) as Jehovah-Rapha: "I am the Lord that healeth thee." Yes, God is our healer, yet there are times when God's hands wound before they heal. Indeed, He must cripple our self-confidence before we truly become God-confident. He breaks and drains us of pride so that we, who were once full of self, might instead be filled with God.
The Lord called Moses to return to Egypt as His spokesman. In response Moses pleaded, "Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither recently nor in time past, nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue" (Ex. 4:10).
Never been eloquent? What about Egypt? "Moses the Eloquent" has become "Moses the Stammerer." The identity of a sophisticated leader, a prince who knew the highest tiers of Egyptian culture, no longer functions in Moses. God has so humbled His servant that he cannot even remember his days of powerful words and mighty deeds. Moses has only one memory of Egypt: failure.
For Moses, the very mention of the word Egypt floods his mind with weakness; Moses fears returning to the place of his humiliation, especially as a leader. Yet, God has not called him to be a leader, but a servant. And, to be a servant, one need not be eloquent, but obedient.
It Was God's Idea
Moses is sure his particular weakness, stammering, will disqualify him. How can a man who cannot speak clearly speak for God? Yet, not only is the Lord unhindered by human weakness, He asks, "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?" (Ex. 4:11). Amazingly, the Lord not only accommodates Moses' condition, He takes credit for it!
It is a profound thought: God stripped Moses of his worldly place and training, burdened him with a heavy and slow tongue, and then commanded him to serve Him in this specific area of weakness: speaking!
The Lord could have instantly healed Moses! He could have given him oratorical skills greater than what he possessed in Egypt, but He did nothing to cure Moses. In fact, the slow speech is God's idea!
Perhaps we have spent too much time blaming the devil for certain limitations that actually have their origins in God. Yet, what truly matters with the Almighty is not the eloquence of our words, but His power to fulfill them. It's a fitting combination: stammering words backed up with immutable power. "I...will be with your mouth" (Ex. 4:12). This is the alliance that makes for victory.
Why is the Lord so attracted to the lowly? He knows the weaker His servant, the more genuinely he will praise God for the work He accomplishes.
So the Lord kept Moses weak, and He maintained His servant’s sense of dependancy throughout the wilderness sojourning. Forget Charlton Heston’s portrayal of Moses with perfect articulation, there is no record of God having healed Moses’ stammer. Standing before the regalia of Pharaoh's court, Moses spoke with the same stammering tongue that began to afflict him in his old age. Later, at the Red Sea, when the horses and chariots of Pharaoh's army cornered the fleeing Hebrews, Moses lifted his voice and, with struggling lips, proclaimed, "Sta-sta-stand st-still a-a-and see th-the s-s-salvation of the L-L-Lord!"
Who would not be tempted to plead, "Hurry Lord; heal his stutter!" Yet, the Red Sea parted. God was never troubled by His servant's flawed oratory skills.
This is the glory of the cross: self is crucified so that Christ may be revealed in power.
The fact is, the Lord deliberately seeks those who know their flaws. Paul testifies that "God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong. . .the things that are not, that He might nullify the things that are, so that no man may boast before God" (1 Cor. 1:27-29).
"That no man may boast before God." May the revelation of God liberate us from human vanity. The truth of God is this: Our weaknesses are an asset. God has chosen us, not because of our strength, but because we are weak. I am not talking about our sinfulness, but that our weaknesses and lack of pedigree do not disqualify us from being used by God.
I am not saying we shouldn’t seek God to heal our weaknesses, let us pray and believe Him! But let us also not excuse ourselves from God's calling because of our weakness. You see, before the Almighty, we each are nothing, and we can do nothing of lasting value apart from Him. It is in our lowliness that God's glory rises to its greatest heights.
Perhaps your last place of service to the Lord seemed to be a complete failure. Yet, it is possible that the Lord has simply been making you perfectly weak, that He might manifest Himself perfectly strong within you.

I myself admire these beautiful creatures but I also like a fence between me and them since I don't trust their hooves. I have seen what it can do to a person in the wrong place and at the wrong time. I'm sure it was an accident and not meant to harm but all the same even if you know how to handle them and care for them, they are powerful animals.

The hobo's lullaby (the Swedish version of Gaither homecoming)

corus:
"Rest your old feet
it's been a long walk
Lay down on the straw
fall asleep to your own song

Forget your worry about tomorrow;
let tomorrow take care of itself.
The barn is there all night
it gives you shelter from the cold and rain

You are old and your cloths are worn out
People treat you as they wish
But you are loved in the middle of all the garbage;
The Kingdom of heaven belongs to you."

Ever Wonder?

Dear Friend,

Got this in the mail box,

and I think it's worth sharing.

Ever wonder ...

what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to Kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm..."Where is my Bible?"

Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

And no dropped calls!

The picture is taken from

http://www.gitmobile.com/2009/04/the-bible-for-iphone/

where it says:

iPhone owners who are also Christian now can bring the Bible with their handset. The Bible Mobilis is the Bible application for iPhone that is now available in South Korea. Bible Mobilis is simply a mobile adaptation of the Bible for your iPhone.

Psalm 95:4

Dear Friend,

The news was followed by 1 billion viewers when the Chilean miners were saved out of their earthly prison. I am impressed by the miners and their faith in God and their gratitude to God. I pray that they will be healed in their body, soul and spirit from the consequences of this tribulation. God bless them and keep them from all evil.

Sincerely yours,

Ida

The Message of the Chilean Miner

Lots to celebrate with the rescue of the Chilean miners (CBN News). These tough men emerged from their deep pit praising Jesus Christ. Cameras from around the world brought us scenes of crying men, many kneeling, praying and thanking God. There is a message in all this: no matter how deep or dark the pit, if you call on Christ He will find you and set you free.

Today, many are trapped in darkness; many feel they are alone and that their world has caved in upon them. Beloved, call upon the Lord, for all who call upon Him will be saved.

These miners had written on the back of their jackets Psalm 95:4, In whose hand are the depths of the earth. His hand reaches into the depths of the earth; He can reach also to you. He hasn't come to condemn the world, but to save the world. He hasn't come to accuse the imprisoned, but to set the captive free.

So, let the message being broadcast from Chile resound in your heart. If you or a loved one is trapped in depression; if sin or fear or a deep darkness has you feeling utterly alone, call upon the Lord. For Jesus Christ has come to set you free.

Lord, forgive me for doubting. I lift up my eyes. I turn my heart toward You. Help me Lord, bring me up out of this trial. Lord strengthen those praying for loved ones who are trapped in a pit. Help renew their faith that, together, we might all give You praise for Your great love and deliverance.

Stained Glass

Dear friend,
The picture above is one of my favorite pictures of stained glass windows. Yesterday I came to think of some Bible verses that are connected to the angel with the crown.

In 2 Timothy 4:7-8 it says
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge will award to me on that day - and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

In 1 Peter 5:4 it says
When the Chief Shepherd appears you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

In Revelation 2:10 it says
... Be faithful even to the point of death and I will give you the crown of life.

When my crown is given to me one day I think the place for it will not be on my head but at the feet of Jesus. He is worthy of it.

Sincerely Yours,
Ida

100919 Election Day.

Today I have used my right to vote (as every four year) in the political election of our country.
I live in one of the privileged countries of this world where I have the right to chose from more than one political party and I can trust that the election is not manipulated.
And I pray;
Oh Lord have mercy on my country because the sin of this nation stands before you in all its horror. Wickedness is increasing to a level where your judgment will hit our nation hard if you would not grant our nation yet a time of mercy.
Oh, Lord forgive us and have mercy. Give us more time; a time of grace; a time to repent as Christians; a time to stand in the gap for this nation. Lord have mercy; Lord have mercy.

Crisp bread for the sheep.

Dear Friend,

There is this piece of paper haunting me now. I found it among the “treasures” in my Bible. And of course, I had forgotten all about it.
I went to Bible classes ten years ago. (how time passes so quickly!) When the pastors prayed for us students I wrote down some of the prayers. In a way it was like prophesies and now I wonder if they ever will come to pass.

1. Your faith will be like crisp bread for the sheep…
2. You will gather many children around you …
3. You have more of God in you than you realize …
4. There is a dignity in your faith …
5. Your faith will flourish …
6. One day your faith will have appreciation …
7. You will become a midwife to spiritual children …
8. You are a precious pearl …
9. You will paint with words …
10. You have to walk one step at a time …
11. There will be joy; and there will be an open door …
12. There will be a road cleared for you …

I might have to explain the “crisp bread for the sheep –thing”; because I think it is only understood by those involved with farming or keeping sheeps. If you want any animal to come when called upon the easiest way is to make them believe that there is food at the end of that call. If you do the same thing every time you call for them they know at that sound that there will be food for them. Well sometimes you have to make them move between feeding time and so the same sound will make them follow for example when changing to another grazing area. Scraping one crisp bread against the other will attract them to follow.

Living your faith in a way that other people would like to follow Jesus is like the crisp bread attracting the sheep. St. Francis of Assisi said to his disciples before sending them out into the world: Go witness to the people. And if necessary, use words.

And then I sigh. Twelve statements from ten years ago that should have been fulfilled by now? Life doesn’t always turn out the way you want and things happen that never was predicted, but that has never stopped the plans of God. So I wonder how much of these words came from God through those precious pastors. Was it wishful thinking and them being kind to me or were they greetings from the most High what he had in mind for me? Do I have the qualities to fulfill those 12 statements? No, I don’t think so. I alone trying to achieve anything of those statements would result in failure. It is only the Holy Spirit that can fulfill anything in my life that was assigned by God. And I have to cooperate with the Holy Spirit.
So I just have to look hard on these statements and confess to God that I have accomplished little of what was said ten years ago. Can I have another chance please?

Sincerely yours,
Ida

No Fuss

I have had a habit to stick a lot of paper, cards and bookmarks in my Bible. Today I sat down to do an inventory of my “treasures” I found a clipping with a summary of all the healings that Jesus did and where they were mentioned in the four Gospels. I thought I knew them all but one in particular was a question mark. In Luke 14 it says:

“ On Sabbath when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was being carefully watched.

There in front of him was a man suffering from dropsy. Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?

But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him away.”

I looked up “dropsy” in my dictionary and it was explained as a “pathological accumulation of fluid in tissues and body cavities”. I was sure I had read this chapter in Luke before but now it appeared as something new or at least something I had totally forgotten. How strange. But even more strange is that I’m having the same problem with “accumulation of fluid” in my legs and it is rather painful at times. For the moment it is to be looked upon as a minor ailment but even so it is very unpractical at times. For instance in the early morning if the phone rings and I’m upstairs and have to hurry down to answer; It is painful to hurry downstairs when your feet and ankles are hurting. One step at the time while the phone keeps ringing but just so long that when I reach for the receiver it stops. So I have stopped the hurrying part because I can see who the caller was in the “Logger” on my desk and eventually can call back later.

#

As always my mind wondered away to the man with edema and that moment with a rather rapid healing process. No fuss.

1 Jesus took hold of the man

2 Jesus healed him

3 Jesus sent him away

He was an anonymous man suffering from edema and he was caught in the middle of a fight between Jesus and those who searched for a moment when they could accuse Jesus of doing something wrong and worth death penalty.

Was this man going to be healed or sent away because it was Sabbath? Was he also going to commit a crime if he was healed on a Sabbath? A lame man who stood up and walked away with his bed had been scolded because it wasn’t allowed to carry a bed on Sabbath. No joy whatsoever over the fact that he just had been healed from a life long illness. So there was tension in the air.

But Jesus knew whatever he would do it still wasn’t enough to convince the opponents. If he didn’t heal the man they would accuse him and if he did heal the man they would still accuse him;. so he turned his eyes to the man with edema; and with no record of questions asked he healed the man and told him to go.

#

- I would like that very much Jesus. No questions; no reproval; no nothing. My legs and feet would just stop hurting, My ankles would be even more slender than before, (I have never had that you know)and I could get my shoes on again without pressing them on.

- Oh, … well … No fuss would be just fine with me too.

In your name Jesus,

Amen.

Survival Kit

Dear Friend,
I found an article written by pastor Ulf Ekman on his blog
( http://ulfekman.nu/ only in Swedish) and here are some excerpts I would like to pass on to you. In building “holy habits” this could be a helpful start (and a help to fight a bad conscience).

Sincerely yours,

Ida

“…We have different habits, temperament, and ways of doing things. What will function in the long run must be adjusted to your personality. At the same time we cannot just follow feelings and impulses but slowly and firmly build holy habits… …We must be disciplined without falling into the pit of legalism. Legalism kills joy. It is important to know that the devotional life is not “spiritual gymnastics” or a “diet” you have to endure alone without Jesus. He stands there every morning, longing to talk with us….

1/ When you wake up: Say “Jesus”. Repeat his name as you step out of bed.

2/ When you have turned off the alarm clock; reach for the Bible and read at once 2 Bible verses (not more) This all can do.

3/ Pray silently with tongues on your way to the shower. It makes your inner self praise Jesus in stead of meditating on the concerns of the day. (If you have an issue with “tongues” use your own language; my remark)

4/ Include in your breakfast prayer what will be on your schedule during the day, so you will hand over the whole day in the hands of the Lord.

5/ Try to have a 10 minute prayer and Bible reading time before you rush off to work

6/ Take a small pocket New Testament with you. Read it whenever you can; on the buss, when you have a break at work, etc.

7/ Try to read through the Bible every other year. The second year, try to study one Bible book more carefully.

8/ Pray for the food and bless each meal and thank God for what you receive.

9/ Pray short, specific silent prayers for special events at work and for certain people.

10/ Try to pray in the evening and if you like to read in bed, end your day with the Bible so that you go to sleep with a word from God.

11/ Repeat the name of Jesus until you fall asleep.

12/Don’t try all at the same time. Try what works for you. Don’t loose heart if it doesn’t work at once. …You will see that your day more and more will become surrounded by God’s presence. …Prayer is wonderful because Jesus is wonderful.”

The Outsiders and The Insiders

Dear Friend,

Remember "The Outsiders" in the post from Thursday, 22 July? Well my question was answered by my blog-friend Anna who found the name of the painter - the western artist Don Spaulding.

I Googled Don Spaulding and found this picture.

It is called "The Insiders"

On Snow Goose Gallery there is an explanation added to the painting “The Outsiders” :

"I spend a lot of time reading about the Old West. This painting was suggested by a passage from "Pioneer Women" by Joanna Stratton, a book that records the remembrances of women settlers in Kansas. One woman who lived in a cowtown called Wano recalled how the cowboys from the trail herds would take part in church services while seated on their horses outside the windows. I'm sure that they remained outside for two reasons: because they felt they were not dressed appropriately and because they were outsiders, not residents of the town. - Don Spaulding."

Sincerely yours,

Ida

Lord prop us up...

Dear friend,
Got this from Sherry; it spoke a lot to me.
Sincerely your,
Ida

"Every time I am asked to pray, I think of the old fellow who always prayed, 'Lord, prop us up on our leanin' side.' After hearing him pray that prayer many times, someone asked him why he prayed that prayer so fervently.

He answered, 'Well sir, you see, it's like this... I got an old barn out back. It's been there a long time; it's withstood a lot of weather; it's gone through a lot of storms, and it's stood for many years.

It's still standing. But one day I noticed it was leaning to one side a bit.

So I went and got some pine poles and propped it up on its leaning side so it wouldn't fall.

Then I got to thinking about that and how much I was like that old barn. I've been around a long time.

I've withstood a lot of life's storms. I've withstood a lot of bad weather in life, I've withstood a lot of hard times, and I'm still standing too. But I find myself leaning to one side from time to time, so I like to ask the Lord to prop us up on our leaning side, 'cause I figure a lot of us get to leaning at times.

Sometimes we get to leaning toward anger, leaning toward bitterness, leaning toward hatred, leaning toward cussing, leaning toward a lot of things that we shouldn't . So we need to pray, 'Lord, prop us up on our leaning side, so we will stand straight and tall again, to glorify the Lord.''

"Snow"

Dear Friend,

One morning earlier this week, I was looking out of one of the kitchen windows and it looked like it was snowing. I had to go out on the porch and could identify the “snow” as dandelion seed heads. Between our houses they floated by in the wind like tiny umbrellas heading for the river. The farmer next door must have caused the explosion of the dandelion seed heads when working on the close by field. For a gardener Dandelions are weeds and very annoying weeds because the more you fight them the more they reproduce themselves. But after reading some articles about Dandelions I can see that they are useful weeds if you know how to handle them. They can be used as medicine, food and pure pleasure when put in a vase. The yellow flower is a peace of art from God the creator.

Sherry Harris Glover has written a poem inspired by the Dandelion flower.

Sincerely yours,

Ida

DANDELION

She’s like a Dandelion you see in a field
From a weed she has grown, her hard-heart peeled
In the past from Him she had sadly strayed
She was like a weed…cold, alone and dismayed

But now she’s been brought back to life
Her spirit, her heart, her soul now alive
For in Him, she grows and flourishes in love
And now the weed has become a bud

She’s now a beautiful dandelion flower
Her spirit is alive and so empowered
She stands tall and strong, no longer beat down
And her head now adorned by a golden crown

She now lives and thrives in her knowledge of Him
No longer to be cold and alone within
Now to Him her roots will proudly cling
And she is happy to serve our Lord, our King

After a while her lovely yellow crown
Will turn into a hat of white seeds all around
That’s when she will share her gifts with all
For the seeds from her hat will gently fall

For each cottony, splintery seed, you see
Will catch a ride on His mighty wind to feed
Our earth that is hungry for His love all around
And this story is born again for His renown

Then new plants will grow from the seeds strewn
When they’ve returned unto Him where they belong
And if their hearts remain pure they’ll be adorned
With their own golden halos, as a new life is born

Isn’t that notion beautiful and exciting
When one can affect the lives of so many
And those who are touched come alive and grow
In the life with Him they were born to know!

In Christ Alone Worship Video with Lyrics

Lord God, I thank You that You have given me authority over all the power of the enemy.
Forgive me for allowing my voice to remain silent and my will immobilized by a passive spirit.
I realize that to be an overcomer I must pursue my enemy until he is consumed.
You have given me authority over the plans and works of evil.
You have created me to be a minister of Your righteousness.
You have filled me with Your Holy Spirit and with fire.
This day I confront, renounce and take authority over the power of the enemy.
I break the bondage of a passive spirit.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer by Francis Frangipane.

1 Corinthians 1: 25-31

Dear Friend,

I hope you have taken the time and watched the previous videos. When I watch Lena-Maria I keep thinking; if she can, so can I.

You can watch a concert with Lena-Maria on "nymilal's channel" on YouTube;

Part 2/10; the story about Lena-Maria's life starts at approx 6:15.

Information about Milal Night and Milal Mission you can find here:

Scroll down the page and you will find it.

The verses below came up when I opened the Bible today. Wasn't looking for them but I think they fit together with the videos.

(Other
interpretations of "His Eyes is on the sparrow" will follow. I love that song.)

… The foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.

Think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things – and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are;

So that no one may boast before him.

It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God – that is our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Therefore, as it is written: Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.

Sincerely yours,

Ida
